The HelpAmerica Foundation and AtHome America have been recognized by both local and national organizations for their contributions. Through funding and volunteer efforts, we have been able to reach out to thousands of homeless veterans across our great nation.
National Coalition for Homeless Vets Honors AtHome America!
At their annual NCHV Awards Banquet on June 6, 2007, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans honored AtHome America with the Corporate Partnership Award. The Corporate Partnership Award is given to corporations who have given contributions to NCHV to support their efforts to strengthen and expand services to America's homeless veterans.

Lisa J. Brandau, AtHome America co-founder, was on hand to accept the award on behalf of AtHome America's HelpAmerica Foundation. She was also personally honored with the Meritorious Service Award.
“Who would have ever imagined that when my sister and I opened our little country store in 1982, that 25 years later we would be honored for making a difference?” she says.

The award was presented to Lisa because AtHome America has been a long-time generous supporter of NCHV, and they wanted to publicly thank her. Additionally, NCHV is very grateful to the HelpAmerica Foundation for its Stand Down grant program, which provides funding to organizations for their Stand Down programs.
Other recognition includes:

- Philadelphia Stand Down – 1998 Appreciation with Special Recognition Awards
- Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, Illinois Veterans Home, Manteno, Illinois – 1998 Grateful Appreciation Recognition Award
