"Serving Those Who Have Served”

The mission of the Suffolk County United Veterans, Inc. is to give homeless veterans the tools they need to regain their sobriety, dignity and independence. Providing three levels of housing (emergency, transitional and permanent), SCUV is structured with support services that are designed to emphasize the veteran's strengths — his loyalty to other vets and his pride in serving our nation.

By addressing the underlying problems that lead to homelessness, such as substance abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and lack of marketable job skills, SCUV aims to help vets return to maintain their independence.

The HelpAmerica Foundation is proud to present the Suffolk County United Veterans with a $10,000 donation. Accepting the award was John Lynch, Executive Director.
