Stand Down November 17
Members of the AtHome America home office, a number of its independent sales consultants — or HomeStyle Specialists — friends and family will be participating in Stand Down, an event which provides much needed services to homeless American veterans. This is the second Stand Down in which the company has participated in 2006, and we’ll continue to do so into 2007! CLICK HERE to read about our June 23 Stand Down.
On Friday, November 17, at the General Jones Armory, 5200 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago, Illinois, homeless veterans will be able to get a hot meal, haircut, eye exam and dental exam. They will also select winter clothing, all of which was donated throughout the year by HomeStyle Specialists and members of their communities. AtHome America volunteers will bring 500 pairs of jeans to give to the veterans. During the company’s annual convention in July, AtHome America collected 1,000 pairs of jeans — the remaining 500 pairs will be donated at a future Stand Down.
