The Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council is a non-profit organization, which works to support area veterans, active military personnel, National Guard and reserve troops, their families, the businesses that employ them and the communities in which they live and work. The organization also aims to promote awareness of the military's role in defending America through educational programs and public events.

A few of the group's other activities include:

  • Organizing Armed Forces Day parades and supporting other events that honor the military and veterans
  • Creating and maintaining a one-stop shopping web site that will post helpful information and provide local organizations the opportunity to promote their activities
  • Promoting and supporting historical events that relate to the military
  • Assisting with Veterans Day and Memorial Day events as needed
  • Proposing local/state legislation that benefits veterans and the military
  • Sponsoring public awareness events (seminars, local TV shows)
  • Promoting educational exchanges in local schools and colleges

The HelpAmerica Foundation is proud to present $10,000 to the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council. Pictured accepting the award is Major Herb Farnsler (U.S. Army) and Major Nathan Kline (U.S. Air Force).
